(posted 5/23/2010) Job opening for 2010-2011 at Somers Middle School.
The job is for a half time music teacher at Somers Middle School (6-8). (Two periods of music) In the past, the position has been mostly band but the administration is open to other options (general music/choir/?....even “something Orff-y” was mentioned!!).
Nice rural school with about 175 students, music room is good sized, the administration bought a complete world drumming set (15 tubanos, aux.instr., etc) last year.
We’re located on the west side of Flathead Lake about 20 minutes from Kalispell. My school, Lakeside Elementary K-5, feeds into this school and Somers Middle School feeds into Flathead High. We’re hoping to revamp this program (the administration is REALLY open to suggestions!!) and start something great!!!
